Icmeler is the closest and most popular holiday destination, adjacent to Marmaris coastline. Icmeler is only 8 kilometers away from Marmaris. There is a minibus from 6 am to 1 am at night. There is also a bicycle path from Marmaris Center to Icmeler. It is possible to reach Marmaris from Icmeler and vice-versa by boat taxi with 15 TL fee from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. There are many luxurious hotels and apart hotels that you can prefer for staying in Icmeler.

You can also stay in a hotel with all inclusive system or in an apart, and if you wish you can shop in many grocery stores that are open 24 hours a day.

İçmeler Beach is one of the places that comes to mind first by local and foreign tourists in Marmaris thanks to its beautiful sea. While you are swiming the sea, you can be sure that you will experience an unforgettable pleasure while watching Marmaris, the Island of Heaven and the Island of Goats by the view. The beach is quite clean and free public beaches are available for swimming. You can get sun beds at the front of the beach cafes for a fee of 15-20 TL and also buy food and beverage.

In addition to enjoying the pleasures of the sea, you can find many sporting activities such as parasailing, jetski, sea bed- banana.

There are many restaurants and cafe bars on the coastline as well as in the inner part of the neighbourhood where you can choose places for breakfast and dinner. You can also have fun in the evenings with the animations accompanied in restaurants which mainly have Turkish and English breakfasts for the morning. You can also find yourself doing Turkish folklore dance after you were dancing with a samba dancer.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Icmeler has pharmacy, Postal Office, İş Bank, Garanti Bank branch and also all banks’ ATMs. There is Migros in Icmeler, two Şok Market and one BİM. In İçmeler, there are primary school, high school and college. Every Wednesday they set up a bazaar where you can find local products. It was a municipality until 2012 and it is connected to Marmaris municipality after 2012. It is referred to as Gölenye Neigbourhood. The resident population is around seven thousand people on average.
