TAŞLICA

The village at the edge of Bozburun peninsula. It is 45 km away from Marmaris. And also the village is far away from tourism. There is an abundance of stones in the village. The houses are all made of real stones. The village had been experiencing drinking water and plumbing problems for 100 years. They were transporting the water obtained from old Rumen wellholes to their homes carried by donkeys. In October 2017, the water was delivered to the households.

It is 5 km away from Söğütköy. You will admire the view you will see when you crossing to come here from Söğüt. You will see the sea of Saranda (old name of Söğütköy), the Greek islands. The peasants make their money from olives, figs, almonds and livestock breeding.
In the village, there are the Temple of Apollo, the remains of the Hellenistic era and the remains of the towers. But these remnants are very deformed and has not been sheltered properly. If you want to go to the seaside from Taşlıca, you can go to Söğütköy or Serçe port. You can also go to Bozukkale by taking boat tours from the Serçe port.
