KÖYCEĞİZ

After Rize, the region that receives the most rainfall is Köyceğiz in Turkey. It took the name of the county from the lake. It is 35 km away from Dalaman Airport, 62 km from Marmaris. Köyceğiz has a total population of 29,196 people. There are two towns and eighteen villages.

There are also side lines of restaurants and cafes along the Köyceğiz lake. It is very crowded during Ramadan month. There are many activities on the lake side, shops are selling souvenirs, and places where you can try different tastes.

It has a history dating back to B.C. 3400. Many great civilizations have been found here because of the point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean joins each other. The Scythians, Assyrians, Ionians, Dorians, Acheans, Persians, Hellenes, Seleccans, Romans, Seljuks, Menteşeoğulları and Ottomans dominated the region.

ROUND RIVER

It is located between Köyceğiz and Ortaca. It is 78 km away from Marmaris and 29 km away from Dalaman. Round River is like ice that is fed from the snow waters of the Sandras Mountain. The water temperature is around 6 degrees. If you want to swim in the water, you can jump into the water from the swing that is approached by rock stairs.
